Now joining its two predecessor Canadian copyright reform bills, Bill C-32 has now died. Bill C-32 aimed at amending and modernizing the Canadian Copyright Act, including bringing it in compliance with the two international WIPO digital treaties. The bill died when the Canadian government fell this afternoon in a vote of no confidence. An election will be scheduled for early May 2011.
